2026 HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE

Michele Wheeler is the President and CEO of JacksonShaw, where she leads all aspects of the company's commercial real estate development platform and stays actively involved across its markets, pursuing new business opportunities. She plays a key role in land acquisition, entitlements, lease negotiations, construction contracts, management agreements, and structuring debt and equity financing. 

 

She started her career with Rosewood Property Company in 1987 and joined JacksonShaw in 2005. Since then, she has consistently delivered value to investors and partners across the firm’s diverse portfolio, including industrial, hospitality, and residential developments in the United States. 

 

Ms. Wheeler has been widely recognized for her leadership and impact in the industry. D CEO Magazine honored her with the “Pioneer Award” in 2026, named her “Commercial Real Estate Executive of the Year” in 2020, and has included her multiple times in the “Dallas 500,” its list of the region’s most powerful business leaders. She received the “Lifetime Achievement” honor from NAIOP North Texas in 2023, was named among Globe Street’s “Women of Influence” in 2022, and was recognized by the Dallas Business Journal in its “Women in Business” awards in 2021.

 

Her professional leadership includes serving as President of the National Association of Industrial and Office Professionals, Chair of the National Product Council for the Urban Land Institute, Chair of The Real Estate Council, and Director of the TREC Foundation. She is also a member of Commercial Real Estate Women and the Real Estate Financial Executives Association. 

 

In addition to her professional commitments, Ms. Wheeler serves on the boards of the Jackson-Shaw Foundation, the World Affairs Council Dallas/Fort Worth, and Liberty Capital Bank, and she previously served on the board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas. She holds a BBA in marketing and management from Stephen F. Austin State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
